  Notes	Ruby Mae Parsons, 95, of Collegedale, Tenn., formerly of Evans, departed this life Nov. 6, 2005, following an extended illness. Born April 14, 1910, in Statts Mill, she was the daughter of the late Samuel R. and Corda Duffield Thomas. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Marion Parsons; son. Lowell Parsons; brothers, Blonda and Ervil Thomas; and sisters, Goldie Rhodes, Bessie Good, Hazel Southall and Ersel Hammond; and grandsons, Wesley Fox and Greg Barrow. She was a member of Ripley Seventh-day Adventist Church and the Dorcas Society and was an active participant of the fruit program for the church. Surviving are daughters, Claudette R. Shaver of Evans, Geneva Geach of Douglas, Ga., Colleen Barrow of Ooltewah, Fla., and Sharon Adams of Grand Island, Fla.; sister, Olive Robinson of Sarasota, Fla.; 13 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Service will be 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 12, at Ripley Seventh-day Adventist Church. Burial will follow in Otterbein Cemetery, Evans. Visitation will be from 7 until 9 p.m. Friday at Casto Funeral Home, Evans.
