Orville "Cleo" Raines
February 10, 1933 - March 5, 2019
Orville “Cleo” Raines, 86, left this world on March 5, 2019 at Ravenswood Village surrounded by his family.
He was born February 10, 1933 at Ripley a son of the late George Harrison and Emma Jane Redman Raines. Cleo worked in the dairy industry and was a Supervisor for Broughton’s with 34 ½ years of service at the time of his retirement. He enjoyed bowling, gardening, and sitting on his front porch enjoying a sunny day. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren whom he absolutely adored.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Freda Mae (Beegle) Raines; their children Judy Raines of Mineral Wells, Jerry (Carolyn) Raines of Mineral Wells, Allen (Amy) Raines of Ripley, and Sherry (Larry) Fizer of Ravenswood. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by siblings Everett Raines, Richard Raines, Austin Raines, Otis Raines, Marie Stutler, Ivy Waybright, and Mildred Lang.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Sunday, March 10th at Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley. Visitation will be from 12 p.m. until the time of the service.
