Mrs. Indiana Rader, wife of Clark Rader, of Curtis District, passed away Monday evening, August 30, 1915, at 8 o'clock after an illness extending over several months. Her death was due immediately to complications that set up following an operation for gall stones some weeks ago.
The deceased was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Elmore Cutright and was born in Upshur County, W.Va., in 1863. In early childhood the parents moved to Roane County. she is survived by several brothers and sisters, all of whose names could not be learned. Among them are Mrs. G. P. Lawson, of Gandeeville, Mrs. C. L. Cox, of Leo; and Messrs. Lon, Granville and Asa, brothers, residing in Upshur County. When a young woman, she was united in marriage with J. T Wolfe, of this county, who preceded her to the grave about five years ago. They are survived by three children, Mrs. N. C. Wilson and Clem C. Wolfe, of Leo, and John H. Wolfe, of Sandyville. She was again married to Clark Rader about three years ago and he survives to mourn the loss of a faithful companion.
Mrs. Rader was member of Triumph Methodist Protestant church and had been for more than 20 years. She was devoted to her church and home and was a woman of noble character. Rev. Jonathan Woods, pastor of the Spencer Baptist Church, conducted the funeral service, and the remains were laid to rest in the Carpenter cemetery, near her former home, Tuesday evening at 3 o'clock in the presence of a large gathering of neighbors, friends and relatives. Undertaker Vandale had charge of the burial.
