Glenva A. Rhodes
Glenva A. Rhodes 88, of Statts Mill passed away Tuesday, January 6, 2009 at Camden Clark Memorial Hospital following a long illness.
She was born April 29, 1920 at Jackson County, a daughter of the late Lonnie and Vada Rhodes Kessell. She was a homemaker and member of the Siniaville United Methodist Church.
She is survived by daughters Evelyn Eakins and her husband Roy of Parkersburg, Janice Scarberry (late husband Harley) of Ripley and Jeanie Harris and husband Carl of Statts Mill; son Bob Rhodes and wife Imogene of Statts Mill; sisters Norma Marshall of Statts Mill and Margaret Finney of Charleston; brother-in-law and sister-in-law Okey and Helen Rhodes of Dayton, OH; grandchildren Ed Eakins (Brenda) of Little Hocking, OH; Sandra Baugh (Mitch) of Extell, TX; Tammy Montez (Johnny), Phillip Scarberry (Terri) of Statts Mill; Barbara Adams (Clark) of Ravenswood; Pam Roush (Frank) of Cottageville; Michael Scarberry of Ripley; Melissa Runion (James) of Ripley; Cathy Williams (Richard) of Ripley; Robbie Scarberry (Lisa) of Ripley; Cindy Grandon (Sean) of Statts Mill; Mark Rhodes (Kim) of Statts Mill; great-grandchildren Melinda Romans; Chris Eakins; Nicholas Montez (Angelique); Daniel and Michael Montez; Anna Marie, Rachel and Scott Scarberry; Mitchell Adams, Brandon Adams; Jessica Runion; Jacob, Corey and Chris Williams; Triska and Jannessa Scarberry; Kaeleigh and McKenzie Grandon; Cheyenne, Savannah, Colton and Garrett Rhodes; great-great-granddaughter Desarae Eakins.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ermal Rhodes, grandson, Jamie Harris and a great-great-granddaughter.
Funeral service will be held at 1:00pm Friday, January 9, 2009 at the Siniaville United Methodist Church in Statts Mill. Burial will follow in the Siniaville Cemetery. Friends may call from 4:00pm to 8:00pm Thursday at Vail Funeral Home, Ripley.
