J.D. Bradley
J.D. Bradley, 56, a resident of Midland, Ga., died Sunday, June 17, 2007, at the Columbus Medical Center, Columbus, Ga.
Mr. Bradley, son of the late Carl Delmer Bradley and Clairfay Lee Dudgeon Bradley, was born June 26, 1950, in West Virginia. He graduated from Dunbar High School, Dunbar, W.Va., and earned a B.A. degree in accounting from Marshall University in Huntington, W.Va. He was an active member of Cascade Hills Church.
Seven years ago, Mr. Bradley left the accounting profession to pursue residential building, a vocation that he loved and where his talents shined. He loved Marshall University Thundering Herd football, playing golf, little league baseball and especially spending time with his grandchildren and family.
He was preceded in death by his stepson, Heath Terrell; and his father-in-law, Thurston Curry.
Mr. Bradley is survived by his wife of 19 years, Linda Bradley of Midland, Ga.; one daughter, Andrea Lea Bradley of Charlotte, N.C.; one stepson, Brad Terrell and his wife, Paige, of Cataula, Ga.; three grandchildren, Chance Terrell, Hudson Terrell and Avery Terrell, all of Cataula, Ga.; nieces, Allison Torbert and her husband, Jeff, of Phenix City, Ala., and Brittany Grissette and her husband, Brandon, of Smiths, Ala.; mother-in-law, Ruth Davis and her husband, Grover, of Phenix City, Ala.; sister-in-law, Jan Grimm and her husband, Butch, of Smiths, Ala.; stepmother-in-law, Betty Curry of Phenix City, Ala.; and other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be 4 p.m. Wednesday at Cascade Hills Church with the Rev. Dr. Bill Purvis officiating. Interment will follow at Parkhill Cemetery, Columbus, Ga. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. today at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, Columbus, Ga.
