Casto - Charleston Gazette, The RIPLEY - Darrell D. Casto, 75, of Ripley died Aug. 30, 1998, in Memorial Division, CAMC, after a long illness. He was retired from Columbia Gas Distribution Dept. with 30 years' service. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and attended Fairplain Union Church, Ripley. Surviving: wife, Myrtle Whited Casto; daughter, Deborah Scheiner of Geneva, Ill.; sister, Goldie Carpenter of Cross Lanes; half sister, Delphia Phillips of Dunbar; four grandchildren. Service will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Fairplain Union Church, Ripley, with the Rev. Aaron Melhorn and the Rev. Larry Thomas officiating. Burial will be in Fairplain Cemetery.
