    • Lloyd Ernest Beal, Sr.
      Lloyd Beal, 79, of Deerfield, passed away November 19, 2006.

      He was born in Akron, Ohio on January 10, 1927 to the late Ernest and Pearl Beal and moved to Deerfield in 1937. He was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II. He retired in 1989 from the International Union of Operating Engineers. Mr. Beal was a member of the Deerfield United Methodist Church, American Legion, Civic Association, Historial Society, and Leisure Lads and Lassies.

      He was preceded in death by his sister, Jane Ernest, and is survived by his wife of 59 years, Mary (Midge); sons, Lloyd and John, all of Deerfield; daughter, Patricia of Temecula, Calif.; brother, Dale of Georgia; sister, Betty Harben of N. Carolina; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

      The body has been donated to the Northeast Ohio Universities College of Medicine. Formal memorial services will not be held at this time. The family requests that memorials be sent to one's favorite charity. Local arrangements are by Dean's Funeral Home (330-938-2744), Sebring, Ohio.
