Selba S. Wetherholt
Selba Sattis Wetherholt, 83, of Sissonville died Dec. 24, 1997, at home after a long illness.
He was a retired shift superintendent with Union Carbide, Institute. He was a 50-year member of Masonic Lodge 16, Ripley, and Aldersgate United Methodist Church, Pocatalico. He was a native of Jackson County and a graduate of Sissonville High School.
Surviving: wife, Sybil Cobb Wetherholt; daughters, Jane Miller of Sissonville, Sally Tate of Greensboro, Ga.; sisters, Bessie Faber and Faye Fisher, both of Dunbar, Jannease Boggess of Charleston; grandchildren, Joe Miller of St. Albans, Tommy Miller of Franklin, Ky., Kelli LeClair and Kristi Arinzo, both of Covington, Ga.; five great-grandchildren.
Service will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Long and Fisher Funeral Home, Pocatalico, with the Rev. Robert Hill and the Rev. Bill Holtsclaw officiating. Burial with graveside rites conducted by Masonic Lodge 16, Ripley, will be in Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens, Cross Lanes. Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home. The family suggests donations to Aldersgate United Methodist Church, Pocatalico, or to Humphreys United Methodist Church, Sissonville.
