Selba Jane Whetherholt Miller, 68, of Sissonville passed away March 8, 2007, at Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, from a sudden illness.
Janie was born May 25, 1938 at Pocatalico to the late Selba Sattis and Sybil Jane Cobb Whetherholt. She was a 1956 graduate of Sissonville High School, attended Marshall College, and was retired from the Kanawha County Board of Education. She was a member and treasurer of Humphrey's Memorial United Methodist Church, Sissonville, the Sissonville Women's Club and the D.O.E.S. She was a loving, loyal and devoted wife, mother and grandmother who cherished her family and was blessed with a multitude of friends whom she also loved dearly. She will be greatly missed and never forgotten.
She is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, Henry C. “Lummie” Miller at home; sons, Joseph M. and wife Lisa of St. Albans, and Thomas C. and wife Rhondell of Morgantown; sister, Sara L. “Sally” Tate and husband Eddie of Greensboro, Georgia; grandsons, Bennett, Samuel, and Andrew Miller; and nieces, Kelli LeClair and Kristi Arienzo, both of Georgia.
The Funeral Service will be 11 a.m. Monday, March 12, at Long and Fisher Funeral Home, Sissonville, with the Rev. Terry Deane officiating. Burial will follow at Floral Hills Garden of Memories, Sissonville. Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
