Casto Jr. Leonard A. “J.R.” Casto Jr., 71, of Charleston, passed away Sunday June 10, 2007. “J.R.” was born March 21, 1936, in Jackson County, to the late Leonard and Ethel Casto. He worked several years for Tickles Upholstery. He is survived by the mother of his children, Mildred Casto of Charleston; sons, Dwain “Wayne” Casto and Leonard “Lennie” Casto III, both of Charleston; daughter and son-in-law, Sherri and James Kessel of Clendenin; sisters, Mary Cunningham of Logan, and Mae Rhodes of Ripley; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 13, at Cunningham-Parker-Johnson Funeral Home with the Rev. Randall Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in Elk Hills Garden of Memories, Big Chimney. Visitation with the family will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, June 12, at the funeral home. A “Special” “Thank You” to Candel Light Cottage “Dee and Staff” and Dr. Sam Henson for the wonderful care and compassion they gave to “J.R.” Special Thank You to Hospice Care and Dr. Payne at CAMC General Hospital, E.R.
