  Notes	From the 2/22/1987 Charleston Gazette: Mrs. Rachel Annie Harper, 84, of Walton, Roane County, died Feb 20, 1987, at home after a short illness. She was born at Harmony and was a member of Shady Dale United Brethren Church, Harmony. Surviving: daughters, Mrs. Emogene Elmore and Mrs. Mary Jones both of Clendenin, Miss Phyllis Harper of Walton and Mrs. Virginia Hollis of Gaithersburg, MD; sons, James Harper of Columbus, OH, and Ayward Jones of Racine, OH; sisters, Mrs. Emma Harper of Pinch and Mrs. Gatha Rhodes of Harmony; brother Emery Jones of Harmony; 14 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. Service will be 1 pm Monday at Walton union Church with the Rev. Larry Jones officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Moriah Cemetery, Amblers Ridge, Walton. Friends may call from 6 to 9pm today at Knight-Young-Matics Funeral Home Clendenin.
