Bernice Lee French, 79, of Ripley passed away Thursday, July 30, 2009, at Cabell Huntington Hospital.
She was born May 21, 1930, in Jackson County and was a daughter of the late Roy and Liddia Sayre Casto.
She was a retired schoolteacher with 39 years of service.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Owen Ray French.
She is survived by a daughter, Patricia (David) McCutcheon, and a grandson, Colby McCutcheon.
She will be buried beside her husband in Pleasant Hill Cemetery in a private service.
A memorial service will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
Waybright Funeral Home will be serving the family.
