  Notes	Jackson Newspapers Ripley/Ravenswood, WV Tuesday, September 23, 2008 Loren L. Casto 82, Given GIVEN - Loren Leo Casto departed this life after a long illness on Saturday, September 20, 2008. He was born November 5, 1925, at Fairplain, the son of the late Melvin Leo and Orpha Shamblin Casto. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and was a retired supervisor for the Department of Highways in Jackson County. He also retired from the Jackson County Board of Education as a bus driver and was affectionately known to many children as grandpa. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Helen Lorena “Jack” Casto, sons Lee of Mt. Alto and Robert L. Casto and his wife Jeannette of Fairplain; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; brothers Arnold Casto and wife Mary Dawn of Wayne and Keith Casto and Wife Betty of Kenna. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, September 24, 2008, at the Vail Funeral Home in Ripley with John Gunther officiating. Burial with Veteran Rites provided by American Legion Post 107, Ripley, will be in the Fairview Cemetery, Given. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
