Pvt. Howard H. Casto, of Ripley, has been in the Army for more than a year and is stationed in the Canal Zone. His wife is the former, Mildred Durst, of Cottageville. (Friday, Dec. 17, 1943)
Howard H. Casto, formerly of Ripley, has been promoted from Private to Private First Class, and has been awarded the Expert Rifleman’s Medal, the Good Conduct Medal, and several other citations. He has been stationed overseas for more than two years. His wife, the former Mildred Durst, and their son, Howard, Jr. Lives at Cottageville and are anxiously awaiting his return. (Friday, Mar 9, 1945)
He was a plumber in Ripley and lived on Spencer Road.
