  Notes	Charleston Gazette-Mail June 1, 2016 Carroll Eugene Rhodes, 81, of Washington, W.Va., passed away May 30, 2016 at Eldercare Health and Rehabilitation following an extended illness. He was born June 2, 1934 in Gay, Jackson County, a son of the late Oshel Fredrick and Eunice (Kelly) Rhodes. He was married on Feb. 14, 1956 to Frances Lucille Milhoan in Sandyville. Carroll was a mechanic by trade and worked for many companies throughout his career including, Villers and Mullens Motors in Parkersburg. He loved to ride motorcycles, and was a member of the West Ripley Church of Christ. Survivors include his children, Carolyn L. (C. Edward) Flinn of Belleville, Dalllas E. Rhodes of Lubeck and Charlotte A. Binder of Huntersville, N.C.; grandchildren, Michelle R. (Lance) Tennant of Washington, W.Va., Brent E. (Stephanie) Flinn of Belleville, Alisha N. (John) Hayes of Belleville and Kiersten Binder of Huntersville, W.Va.; six great-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren, Aurora, Victoria and Nathaniel Tennant, Braeden and Lillie Hamilton and Alivia Hayes; and sisters, Barbara Joan (David) Halbert of Parkersburg, Janet Lea (Robert) King of Ocala, Fla., and Sandra Sue (Michael) Lawrentz of Ripley. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his brother, Jaerl Ree Rhodes; infant twin sisters, Norma and Nola; and a nephew, James Basil Lawrentz. Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, June 3, at Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley, with Doug Petty officiating. Burial will follow in Baptist Grove Cemetery, Frozen Camp. Friends may call on the family from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you save a kitty or donate to your local animal shelter.
