Lanta Russell Cobb, 83, of Kenna, died March 10, 2006, in Sun Bridge Nursing Home.
He was born April 28, 1922, in Jackson County, the son of the late Tom and Sylvia Cobb. He was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Evelyn Irene Cobb; five brothers, Johnny, Art, Everett, Sherman, and Ray; and two sisters, Lorene and Lucille.
Survivors include one daughter, Helen Harper of Charleston; three sons, Charles of Elkview, Ronnie of Kenna, and Robert of Sissonville; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
He was a retired District Manager for Davey Tree Expert Company.
Funeral service will be Monday, March 13, at 11 a.m. at Long and Fisher Funeral Home, Sissonville, with Larry Hammett officiating. Burial will follow at Floral Hills Garden of Memories, Sissonville.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
