  Notes	Hur Herald (04/28/2008) Wilma R. Epling, 76 - Spencer Wilma R. Epling, 76, suddenly departed this life on April 26, 2008, from her Triplett home. She was born in Wirt County, on May 9, 1931, a daughter of the late Virgil and Vandena Ashley Westfall. Wilma worked at Kellwood Company for 20 years, farmed, was a homemaker and friend and neighbor to all. She was a member of the Little Creek Baptist Church and had also attended Gilboa Church. Wilma enjoyed a simple life, yet rich to her, with family, friends, listening to gospel music, reading, and the companionship of her dog, Penny, and her cats. Her love of flowers was evidenced by the many varieties planted in and around the yard of her home. She enjoyed sharing their beauty with others and passing along plants and roots. She also enjoyed cooking and sharing those rewards with family, friends, and neighbors. She was always there to lend a helping hand to many in times of need or grief. We are comforted in her passing to know that she has joined her late husband of 52 years, Homer Paul Epling, her daughter, Jennifer Denise Epling, and her sister, Sandra Brown. She will be sadly missed by those she leaves behind, including her daughters and sons-in-law, Delores (Jeanie) and Henry Longfellow of Spencer, Shelia and Terry Bode of Elkview; grandsons, Ian Bode of Charleston and Mark (Kristina) Longfellow of Evans; granddaughters, Dora (Bob) Tawney and Lora (Rich) Tawney of Buckhannon, Paula (Dennis) Boggs and Tammi (Kevin) Chapman of Elkview; and 14 great grandchildren; two sisters, Pearl Hudson and Sharon Brown; three brothers, Robert, Carroll, and Kelsie Westfall, all of Ohio; and a very special brother-in-law and sister-in-law, James and Betty Epling of Spencer. Visiting hours will be Tuesday evening, April 29, 2008, from 6-8 p.m. at the John H. Taylor Funeral Home, Spencer. A funeral service will be held Wednesday, April 30, 2008, at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Leon Strickland and the Rev. James Epling officiating. Burial will be in the Little Creek Cemetery.
