Westfall Randolph). She was united in marriage to J. H. Cobb on 4 May 1884 and to this union were born eleven children, three of whom preceded her in death, Ruby, Sherman and Bessie. Thomas followed her a few hours later. The surviving children are Mrs. H. H. Hamric, Miss Nora Cobb, Mrs. Floyd Hersman, Early Cobb, Mrs. Dollie Hersman, Mrs. Hoyt Carpenter, and James Cobb. She was converted in early life and joined the M. P. Church and lived a devoted christian life until her death. Mrs. Cobb was loved by all she knew her and will be greatly missed. She leaves her husband, seven children, grandchildren, and a host of friends to mourn their loss. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. J. M. Anderson at White Pine Church friday evening for Mrs. Cobb and her son, Thomas Cobb. They were laid to rest in the cemetery there to await the ressurection morn. (Jackson Herald, 8 May 1936)
