Grace O. Williams, 89, of Kenna passed away Monday, May 4, 2009, at her residence following a long illness.
Born July 31, 1919, in Kenna, she was a daughter of the late Otis and Elizabeth Skeen Cleek. In addition to her parents, Grace was preceded in death by her first husband, Gay Anderson; grandson, Brian Sizemore; brothers, John and Corbett Cleek; and sisters, Edyth Parsons and Delcie Profitt.
She worked as a housekeeper at Jackson General Hospital and was a member of Grasslick Baptist Church. She was also an active member of the Jackson County Senior Citizens Quilting Group.
Surviving are her husband, Arnold Williams; son, Ronnie (Karen) Anderson of Kenna; daughters, JoAnn (Gene) Nuckles of Ripley, Vickie (Bob) Ranson of Kenna and Becky (Jack) Juniper of Kenna; brother, Carroll Cleek of Columbus, Ohio; sisters, Belle Raines of Kenna and Wanita Harris of Portland, Ohio; and stepsons, Nile Williams of Virginia and David Williams of Sandyville. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday, May 7, at Waybright Funeral Home, 511 South Church St., Ripley, with Pastor Steve Raines officiating. Interment will follow in Casto-Anderson Cemetery, Belgrove.
Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
