Leola Frances Allen Webb
SALEM. Leola Frances Allen Webb, 81, of Salem, died at 12:26 a.m. Wednesday in Salem Community ER.
Born Oct. 4, 1926 in Spencer, W.Va., she was the daughter of William E. and Eulah (Carpenter) Allen.
Mrs. Webb came to this area in 1947 and was a bookkeeper for the family business, Webb's Automotive. She also was a former member of the Mt. Nebo Grange; she ran a deer check station and attended the Hanoverton Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death on Aug. 23, 1996 by her husband, Hume Webb, whom she married April 7, 1946.
Survivors include: four children, Arless D. (Patricia) Webb of Columbiana, Ohio, Fred (Mary) Webb of Salem, William (Dede) Webb of Salem, Mrs. Joseph (Connie J.) Petty of Lisbon, Ohio; her stepson, Delmar (Shirley) Rhodes of Gay, W.Va.; 10 grandchildren, Joe Petty Jr., Judd Webb, Jorden Webb, Mike Clark, Steve Rhodes, Jeff Rhodes, B.J. Cain, Rhonda Joy, Lonnie Gilbert Jr. and Debbie Swiger; and many great-grandchildren.
Also preceding her were two brothers, Arthur and Everett Allen, and grandson, Jeff Clark.
A Funeral Service will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday at the Arbaugh Pearce Greenisen Funeral Home with Rick Tincher officiating, with calling hours from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday.
Burial will follow at a later date in the Clover Cemetery.
