Spencer, WV 1994
Margarette Maud Lane, 85, of New Martinsville Health Care Center, formerly of North Port, Fla., and Moundsville, died Monday, August 15, 1994 at the center.
She was born in Spencer, a daughter of the late Arremis and Eva Miller Anderson. She was a lifetime member of the VFW, North Port, and a member of the Dames of Malta, North Port. She was affiliated with the Ash Avenue Church of God, Moundsville.
She is survived by two daughters, Evelyn Boso and Lillian Noland, both of Moundsville; a stepson, Henry Lane; a stepdaughter, Naida Darnell, both of Clendenin; 20 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Lewis, in 1939 and her second husband, Charles E. Lane, in 1987; three brothers and seven sisters.
Services were held Wednesday at Altmeyer Funeral Home, Jutes and Kirby-Vance Chapels, with Rev. Forrest Shaffer and Rev. Thomas H. Tennant officiating. Interment was in Riverview Cemetery, Moundsville.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Louis Fred Parsons, who was a Spencer resident, in 1939; and Charles E. Lane in 1987, who was a Florida resident; three brothers, Ralph, Raymond and Earnest Anderson and seven sisters, Cordia Shaffer, Osia Burgess, Trudi Anderson, Erkyrl Anderson, Beulah Lockheart, Fanny Anderson and Hazel Montgomery.
