ack A. Taylor
Jack A. Taylor 79 , of Edens Fork, Charleston, departed this life Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2003, at his home
He was born April 7, 1924, at Charleston, a son of the late James W. and Virgie O. Carpenter Taylor.
Jack was a retired truck driver with Consolidated Coal in Cadiz, Ohio. He was a member of the UMWZ Local 1506, a member of the Grand Lodge of Free and Accepted Masons in Scioto, Ohio, 32nd degree Scottish Rite Mason in Charleston, Bluefield Chapter No. 20 Roayl Arch Masons, Beni Kedem Shriners in Charleston, and Bluefield Knights Templar, and a U. S. Army veteran. He was also on the National Committee to Preserve Social Security and Medicare, and the National Committee to Preserve Disabled Veterans.
Survivors include his wife, Rose E. Helems Taylor; two daughters Rosemarie Page and Breanda J. Kidd, both of Charleston; one son James D. Taylor and his wife, Vicky of Bamesville, Ohio, seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; one brother, C. E. Taylor of Charleston.
Graveside services will be conducted Wednesday, Dec. 3, 2003, at 2 p.m. in the Floral Hill Garden of Memories Mausoleium, Sissonville with the Rev. John Hensley officiating. Burial will follow in the cemetery following services.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospicecare, 1143 Dunbar Ave, Dunbar, WV 25064.
