I never even knew my grandmothers name, my dad was only 7 years old when she died, his dad Orion remarried to Mary Magdeline Perry in 1935 and after that his children were not allowed to have a photo of her nor know their Lanham grandpartents. She kicked my uncle Alonzo out of the house when he was only 12 or 13 years old, he then went from relative to relative to have somewhere to live. He was 10 years old when their mother died and had a very good memory of her and he wanted pictures of her. He wanted to talk about her to the 2 youngest so that they would know about her, etc. The first summer he was exiled from his home, he lived with his paternal grandmother, Lucy Rider O'Dell. As a result of all this no photos survive of my grandmother.
