    • M. Walter Fields (1734-1823) came to Hacker's Creek with his son-in-law pioneer Henry McWhorter (1760-1834). Henry McWhorter's wife was Mary Fields, dau. of above Walter Fields. Walter Fields is buried "in the Harmony Cemetery, about 2 miles above Jane Lew." His headstone reads "M. Walter Fields, died Jan. 20, 1823, aged 89 years." Quotes are from Minnie McWhorter's "History of the Henry McWhorter Family." Walter Fields and his daughter Mary were said to come from Bucks Co., PA. Henry McWhorter and Mary Fields are said to have been married in Bucks Co., PA.
