Susan Board Harper, 82, of Charleston passed away on Thursday, May 28, 2009.
She was the daughter of the late Charles H. and Georgetta Shaver Board.
She was a member of the Asbury United Methodist Church, Charleston, and a graduate of Clendenin High School and Charleston Business College. Susan was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Clendenin Chapter, for over 50 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Okey Stuart Harper; her parents; and seven brothers and sisters.
She is survived by her children, Lisa Anne Harper and Kevin Stuart Harper; two grandsons, Patrick Clay Harper and David Stuart Harper; and two sisters, Thelma Smith and Irene Cole.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Sunday, May 31, at Barlow-Bonsall Funeral Home with the Rev. Dr. Eileen Dumire officiating. Burial will follow in Elk Hills Memorial Park, Big Chimney.
Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Ronald McDonald House, 302 30th St. SE, Charleston, WV 25304.
