Debria Lynn Ramsey, 53, of Ravenswood departed this life January 9, 2009, at home following a short illness.
She was born August, 28, 1955, in Roane County, daughter of Herbert D. and Marie Payne Cobb. She was a homemaker, Christian and member of the Hemlock Church.
Her father and her sister, Barbara Williams, preceded her in death.
She is survived by her husband of 26 years, Allen Russell Ramsey, of Ravenswood; mother Marie Cobb of Ravenswood; daughters Patricia L. O’Neil (Kevin) of Walton, Angela M. Morris and fiancé Amos of Buffalo, Becky Smith of Lubeck and Julia Lyons of Parkersburg; sons David G. Wheatcraft (Tawnya) of Asheville, NC, and Russell Ramsey of Parkersburg; sisters Lois Sneed of Charleston, Sandy Shulz of Ravenswood and Lisa Bragg of Ravenswood; grandchildren Larry A. Ramsey, Kelcey A. O’Neil, Thomas E.A. Smith, Alisha M. Morrison, Michele M. Morrison, Cody L. Smith, Kyle G. O’Neil and Cody B. Lyons.
She is also survived by two special people, Lauren N. Gregorich, whom she considered a granddaughter, and Faye Hart, whom she considered a special sister.
Funeral services will be Monday, January 12, at 2:00 p.m. at Vail Funeral Home, Ripley, with Pastor Kevin O’Neil of the Walton Baptist Church officiating. Interment will follow on the Ramsey family land near Ripley. Friends may call at the funeral home two hours prior to the funeral.
