Virginia Belle Coleman
Virginia Belle Coleman, 85, of Elkview took her Heavenly flight to be with Jesus, when he sent his angel for her on the June 27, 2009, at Hubbard Hospice House in Charleston.
She was a Christian, a devoted preacher's wife, a loving, caring mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She attended the Jordan Mound Church and was a former employee of the Fletcher Enamel Plant in Dunbar.
Born October 4, 1923, in Roane County, she was the daughter of the late Milford Anderson and Clora Mae Price Anderson.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, the Rev. Nile Clifton Coleman; great-grandson, Timothy Paul Coleman; three sisters, Vera Wagner, Virgie and Velda Hays; and three brothers, Roy, Brooks and Virgil Anderson.
Surviving are son, Gary Coleman and wife Belva of Elkview; two grandsons, Tim Coleman and wife Lea Ann of Pinch, and Jay Coleman of Summersville; seven great-grandchildren, Kristin Coleman, Sammy and Tyler McCoy of Pinch, Witny, Destiny, Hunter and Kinly Coleman of Summersville; two great-great grandchildren, Braelyn and Khyanna Coleman of Summersville; brother, Curtis Anderson and wife Francis of Kanawha City; a special niece, Georgia Bowling and husband Jimmy of Liberty; and also a very faithful friend, Joyce Perry of Cross Lanes.
The family would like to thank her caregiver, Beverly Waychoff and the staff of CAMC Memorial Hospital and the Hubbard Hospice House for their wonderful care and loving support during the end of her journey.
Funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 30, 2009, at the Hafer Funeral Home Chapel, Elkview, with the Rev. Cletus Price and the Rev. Roger Burdette officiating. Burial will follow at Elk Hills Memorial Park, Big Chimney.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, June 29, 2009, at the funeral home.
