      Proctorville, OH -
      Mollie Ann Parsons Casto, 74, of Proctorville, OH, formerly of Belpre, lost her battle with cancer on July 16, 2009, at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House.
      She was born in Ripley on January 3, 1935, the daughter of the late W. King and S. Madeline Casto Parsons. She was a Marshall graduate and got her master’s degree from WVU. She retired after 32 years from the Belpre School system as a kindergarten teacher.
      She had taught music also. She was a member of the St. Marks United Methodist Church, was a member of the Belpre Area Ministries, and had been on the Daycare Advisory Board at the church and the Women’s Circle. She had also been a member of the book club at the Belpre Library.
      Survivors include her daughters Cindy Casto and her husband Rick Martin of Worthington, OH, and Mindy Levisay and her husband Bruce of Proctorville, OH; son Mike Casto and his wife Kelle Wolford Casto of Wilmington, NC; and grandchildren Byron Horton, Lizzy Horton, Patrick Pemberton and his wife Jessica, Zack Pemberton, Kenna Casto and Colton Casto.
      She is also survived by brother Robert King Parsons of Shilot, FL, and sister Nancy Wilson of McHenry, MD.
      She was preceded in death by her parents, husband William Casto, and infant son Randall Ray Casto.
      Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 24, at the Leavitt Funeral Home, Belpre, OH, with graveside services at noon Friday at Shinn Cemetery in Fairplain.
      Friends may call from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Thursday, July 23, and up to service time Friday at the funeral home.
      Memorial donations may be made to the Belpre Public Library.
