Elisabeth is believed to be the daughter of Johannes Reitenauer and Elisabeth Herb, emigrants from the Palatinate.
Settled in 1760 on the west side of the North branch of the Shenandoah River.
Lutheran communicants who came into the Peind Kirch (Pine Church) to the holy evening meal when the Rev Paul Henkel (Hinkle) was pastor at New Market.
Both George and wife made wills which are found in Will Books E & P in Shenandoah County, VA. Both mention all their children and spouses. George Adam left over 700 acres of land to his 3 sons as well as land to his daughters in addition to L25 each to his 5 youngest daughters to make them equal with the 2 eldest who had received money earlier. GA could write, his wife could not.
Daughters married members of the Kipps, Meek, McCarty, Olinger, Hinkel, Houdeshall and Rup families.
