Buddy Rhodes
Buddy (Roy) Rhodes, 67, of Pettyville passed away at his residence on Sept. 25, 2005.
He was born Sept. 22, 1938, in Jackson County, a son of the late Follie Norris Rhodes Sr. and Bertha L. Mullenix Rhodes. Roy was a footer foreman for IBEW Local 1393, Indianapolis. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Norma J. King Rhodes of Pettyville; two daughters, Debra Haught and her husband, Rick, of Washington, W.Va., and Rebecca Lamb of Camillus, N.Y.; three brothers, Robert, Ray and Follie Rhodes; one sister, Della Tennant; three grandchildren, Shawn, Jody and Kevin Haught; three great-grandchildren, Tori, Gavin and Garrett Haught; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Stella; and two nephews.
Services will be 3 p.m. Wednesday at Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg, with the Rev. L. Norman Butler officiating. Entombment will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
