Charles Edward Romine
Charles Edward Romine, 80, of Huntington, died Saturday, Jan. 2, 2010 at Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House after a battle with lung cancer.
He was born in Spencer, a son of the late Dorsey C. and Ruby Hudkins Romine. He was a veteran of the Korean War and a member of Beverly Hills United Methodist Church. He was a graduate of Spencer High School, attended Mountain State College in Parkersburg and Huntington School of Business. He was a retired operations manager for Anderson Newcomb Company and Stone and Thomas Company. He was a professional photographer and an outdoorsman. His interests included fishing, hunting, camping and gardening.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Mary Alice Romine; a daughter, Cathy R. Long M.D. of Franklin, N.C.; a son, Thomas L. Romine of Winston-Salem, N.C.; a sister, Alice Mace of Spencer; several nieces and nephews and three grandchildren.
