Carole Y. Maupin
Carole Y. Maupin, 56, of Nitro went home to be with the Lord July 20, 2004, in CAMC Memorial Hospital.
She was retired with over 18 years of service from the West Virginia Workers Compensation Division, a member of Lett Creek Community Church and Community Chapel Church and was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her father, Keith Mace, and stepfather, Bob Keeney Jr.
She is survived by her loving husband of 22 years, James G. Maupin; mother and stepfather, Ruthie E. and Ted Broscious of Ripley; son, Jay and wife, Sam Mace, of Rock Branch; two grandsons, Luke & Isaac; brother, Bob Keeney III of Mexico; five stepbrothers and -sisters; and seven half brothers and sisters. She is also survived by a host of family and friends.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Friday, July 23, at Gatens-Harding Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Tom Price, the Rev. Ray Parsons and her son, the Rev. Jay Mace officiating. Burial will follow in Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens.
Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
