Hodges Center, Charleston. He was born on Canoe Run, a son of the late Johnathan Daniel and Fannie Reynolds McGlothlin. He retired from Cities Service Oil and Gas Co. in 1962 and later worked for General Construction Co. He was a 50 year member of the Linden Lodge #83 AF&AM. He was an Army veteran of World War II, a Protestant and a life long resident of Roane County. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Berdeal Booth McGlothlin, of Arthur B. Hodges Center; one daughter, Karen Jean McGlothlin Spencer of Charleston; four grandchildren, George Anthony Spencer of Raleigh, N.C., Tasha Renee Spencer, Carina Anne Spencer and Chadney Wateman Spencer, all of Charleston; one sister, Vonnie F. Looney of The Plains, Ohio; one brother, R. Clyde McGlothlin of Williamstown; and a half sister, Josephine Looney of Looneyville. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Johnny H., Hamer L., William B., and Frank B. McGlothlin; one sister, Bessie Truman; and half brother, Daniel J. "Duke" McGlothlin. Services will be conducted 2 p.m. Friday at Sinnett-Taylor Funeral Home, with Rev. Robert Keen officiating. Burial with Masonic graveside rites will be in the Clover Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 6-9 p.m. Thursday. The family requests that flowers be omitted and memorial contributions be made to the Arthur B. Hodges Center Auxiliary, McGlothlin Memorial, 500 Morris St., Charleston, W.Va. 25302.
