      Thelma Boggess, 82, of Dunbar, passed away Tuesday, November 22, 2011, at Dunbar Care and Rehabilitation.

      Thelma was one of the original residents of the Dunbar Towers. She was a retired receptionist for the late Dr. James Slaughter and was a member of the Dunbar Mountain Mission. She loved music and was a member of the Dunbar Senior Choir. Thelma was a native of Goldtown.

      Thelma was the last surviving member of her family.

      Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, November 26, at the Dunbar Mountain Mission with the Rev. Mike Harper and the Rev. James Phillips officiating.

      Burial will take place at a later date in the Boggess Cemetery, Goldtown.

      Arrangements are in the care of Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.

      Death records for Herbert and Leslie show they were "killed by auto accidentally". Homer's shows "auto accident", was he riding in the car?
      This happened only 4 months after son Oval was killed in an auto accident.
