  Notes	J. P. Rhodes Dies at Smithfield  Jefferson P. Rodes, 84, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. H. R. Stanton, at Smithfiled. Sunday.  Mr. Rhodes, formerly lived in Clarksburg but had lived the last 12 years with his daughter and son-in-law after his wife’s death. Born in Ripley, April 3, 1861, Mr. Rhodes married Rebecca Richards of Doddridge County and to this union three children were born, of whom Mrs. Stanton is the only survivor.  Mr. Rodes operated a blacksmith shop in Clarksville for many years. Funeral Services were conducted in Mannington Tuesday afternoon by Rev. F. C. Soper.  Burial was made in the Manning Memorial Park.
