GOLDTOWN - William Odra "W.O." Fisher, 87, of Goldtown, Jackson County, died Sept. 21, 1997, in Memorial Division, CAMC, after a short illness.
He was retired from the maintenance department of Union Carbide, South Charleston, with 30 years' service, was a founder, charter member and member of the board of directors of Fisher Memorial Church, Goldtown, and was a member of the original Fisher Quartet.
Surviving: wife, Loraine Pritt Fisher; daughters, J. Sue Boggess of Goldtown, Delores Ranson of Ripley; sister, Phoebe Good of Sissonville; two grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
Service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Fisher Memorial Church, with the Rev. Jerry Bonnett and the Rev. Carl Chambers officiating. Burial will be in Floral Hills Garden of Memories, Sissonville. Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. today and one hour prior to service at the church. Cunningham-Parker-Johnson is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Odra Fisher Memorial Fund, Fisher Memorial Family Center, 2515 Dudden Road, Kenna, W.Va. 25248.
