He was retired from American Viscoe Corporation, with 31 years of service. He was a World War II Navy veteran, an ordained Pentecostal minister, and Bible teacher. He is survived by his wife, Ada Roberts Pritt; sons, Daniel Pritt of Clover, S.C., and Elvin Tate of Charleston; daughter, Ramona Ward of Winfield; eight stepchildren; sister, Lorraine Fisher of Goldtown, W.Va.; 53 grandchildren, and 26 great-grandchildren. Service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 27, at Cunningham-Parker-Johnson Funeral Home, Charleston, with the Rev. Paul Bailey and the Rev. Jack Long officiating. Entombment will be in Tyler Mt. Memory Gardens, Cross Lanes, with military rites conducted by Benny Padilla, VFW Post 4768, Alum Creek. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, July 26, at the funeral home.
