HARTVILLE, OH – Ona Jean Fisher, age 83, of Hartville, OH, passed away Saturday, January 15, 2011 in her residence. She was born July 1, 1927 in Milwood, the daughter of Raymond and Freda (Gillespie) Warth. Jean retired from Delbert Smith’s Greenhouse in Uniontown, OH and had been a teacher at Lane Elementary School in Kenna. She attended Marshall University. Ona attended Uniontown United Methodist Church, was a member of Eastern Star chapter #539 and the Canton Chapter of D.A.R.
Surviving is her husband of 62 years, Rossie B. Fisher; daughters Judy (Richard) Smith of Hartville, Jill (Edward) Borish of Westerville, OH and Joy (Chris) Ryan of Wimauma, FL; son Billy Joe Fisher of Burleson, TX; sister Margaret Starks of Knoxville, TN; grandchildren Cora and Colin Smith, Anastasia Borish, Austin Ryan, Cole Lee Fisher and great grandson Joshua Fisher.
A daughter, Crystal Ann Fisher, and brother, Claude Warth, preceded her in death. Calling hours were Monday, Jan 17, 10 -11 a.m. at the Uniontown United Methodist Church; funeral services will be at 11 a.m. with Pastor Vern Hostetler officiating. There were also calling hours on Tuesday, Jan 18, 1 - 2 p.m. at the Emma Chapel United Methodist Church in Liberty. Funeral services began at 2 p.m. on Tuesday with Rev. Gerald Sayre officiating; burial will be in the Church Cemetery.
