A Liverpool man died early yesterday morning following an accident on a gas well site where he was working. Cleo Stanley Randolph, 29, was pronounced dead on arrival at Davis Memorial Hospital at Elkins following the early morning accident that occurred at Belington in Randolph County. According to family members, Randolph died after being struck in the chest by a piece of pipe. Mr. Randolph was a 1973 graduate of Ripley High School and worked for Fox Drilling of Glenville.
He was the son of the late Luster Blenn Randolph and Wavie Parsons Randolph. Survivors, in addition to his mother, include: wife, Sandra Rankin Randolph of Liverpool; son, Christopher Luster Randolph at home; daughter Rachel Rayna Randolph at home; sisters, Mrs. Reva Chapman of Harmony, Miss Donna Randolph of Liverpool, Mrs. Linda Rhodes of Ripley, Mrs. Kitty Rhodes of Ripley, Miss Alice Randolph of Liverpool. Services will be held tomorrow (Thursday) at 11 a.m. at the Parsons Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. David Miller officiating. Burial will be in the Kiser cemetery at Kentuck.
