PLANTATION, Fla. - Hobart Edward King, 79, of Plantation died Sept. 2, 1998, in Holy Cross Hospital, Fort Lauderdale, after a long illness.
He was a retired carpenter, former manager of Pompano Fishing Pier, a former security guard for Gault Towers, Fort Lauderdale, and attended First Baptist Church, Weston.
Surviving: wife, Virginia Casto King; daughter, Dolores Ann King of Plantation; brother, Floyd King of Ripley, W.Va.; sisters, Mary Winter of Ripley, Mildred Snyder of Pompano Beach, Evelyn King of Evans, W.Va.
Service will be 4 p.m. Saturday at Longview Community Church, Evans, with the Rev. Gerald B. Sayre officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call two hours prior to service at the church. Casto Funeral Home, Evans, is in charge of arrangements.
