Robert Sanford "Tootium" Boggess, 68, of Kenna departed this life April 25, 2003, at his home following sudden illness.
He was born Dec. 6, 1934, at Kenna, W.Va., a son of Robert and Liddie Coleman Boggess.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert; and a son, Mark Boggess.
Tootium was a retired building contractor and a member of the Goldtown Community Church, which he helped found and build.
Surviving are his wife of 48 years, Eva Jean Fields Boggess of Kenna; his mother, Liddie Coleman Boggess of Kenna; one son and daughter-in-law, Todd and Sarah Boggess of Sissonville; four sisters, Maggie Casto of Fairplain, W.Va., Rowena Taylor of Cleveland, Ohio, Margaret Westfall and Regina Slater, of Kenna; four brothers, Stanton Boggess, Roy Boggess and Nemo Boggess, all
