Chris and Anna lived in a log cabin on Second Creek of Middle Fork of Pocataligo River, Jackson Co., WV. I have a photograph of the log cabin that I took in 1985. Chris's great-grandson, Ronald Randolph, was living in the cabin at that time. The land and cabin was purchased by the State of West Va and the cabin was burned by the State of West Virginia in 1987. The cabin was burned during the clearing procedures when construction of the watershed dam on Middle Fork started in 1986. My mother, Ola (Kiser) Kessel, and my grandmother, Lydia Ann (Siders) Kiser dressed "Aunt Annie" when she died. My grandfather, Joseph Floyd Kiser, helped make the casket and Mother and grandmother Lydia made the lining and pillow for the casket. (Ref: Betty Kessel McIntyre).

Chris served in the 7th WVa Cav Co B, Civil War
