Whited, 86, of Parkersburg, died Dec. 9, 2011, at Camden Clark Medical Center, Memorial Campus. She was born Sept. 1, 1925, in Roane County, a daughter of the late Howard Early and Goldie Fay Morrison Riley. She was retired from Wilson's Market on Seventh Street as the office manager, was a member of the Senior Citizens, enjoyed gardening and loved her kids and grandkids. She attended Sunrise Baptist Church in recent years and was a member of Mt. Moriah United Methodist Church. She is survived by three sons, Larry Stephen Whited of Grantsville, W.Va., Dana Lee (Janet) Whited of Mineral Wells and Roger Glen (Connie) Whited of Parkersburg; 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; two brothers, James (Tina) Riley and Frank Riley, both of Spencer; and three sisters, Virginia (Charles) Paxton of Gandeeville, W.Va., Ella May (Frank) Tatar of Cleveland, Ohio, and Judy (Robert) Harper of Savannah, Ga. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Granville Glen Whited; daughter, Sue Ann Maher; and three brothers, Wayne, Darrell and Bruce Riley. Services will be 1 p.m. Monday at Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg, with the Rev. Gene Waybright officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery South.Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
