      John's death occurred by drowning in the Two Mile Creek below Charleston at the edge of the ford above the Turnpike Bridge. When he was found he laid on his back his head scarcely submerged in the shallow water, his feet upon the bank. There was a coroner's inquest that resulted in the following: Verdict of the coroner's jury that said John Fisher Sr. came to his death by accidental drowning in Two Mile Creek on the 19th of January, 1866.
