Mrs. Linda Arthur Harmon, 70, of Red House went home to be with her Lord, God, Savior and Friend on November 24, 2008.
Linda was born on November 16, 1938, in Bancroft and was the daughter of the late Peck and Margie Arthur. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Peck Arthur Jr., John Arthur and her twin brother, Larry Arthur; and sisters, Sally Utt and Aggie Brown.
Linda was a 1956 graduate of Poca High School and a 1992 graduate of Teays Valley Baptist College. She was a member of Elizabeth Baptist Church for 60 years. She was a teacher of young people and women for many years.
She is survived by her loving husband of 49 years, Bill Harmon; son, Daniel Harmon and his wife, Donna, of Cross Lanes; daughter, Stephany Shamblin and her husband, Michael, of Red House; grandchildren, Stacey and Tim Sigman of Bancroft, Amie Shamblin of Cross Lanes and John Daniel Harmon of Cross Lanes; sisters, Ruth Casto of Bancroft, Sue Ranson of Liberty and Marylou Cottrill of Poca; brothers, Neely Arthur and Roosevelt Arthur, both of Poca; and a host of other relatives and friends.
A tribute to the life of Linda will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, November 26, at Elizabeth Baptist Church with Pastor Jeff Arthur officiating. Entombment will follow in Haven of Rest Memory Gardens and Crematorium, Red House.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday.
