Mrs. Bessie M. Randolph, 82, of Cross Lanes went home to be with the Lord Sept. 17, 2004.
Mrs. Randolph is retired from Camp Virgil Tate with 26 years of service, and Point Harmony Elementary School with 17 years of service. Mrs. Randolph attended First Church of the Nazarene of Tyler Heights.
She is preceded in death by her son, Lovell "Peanut" Randolph; her sister, Mrs. Macil Hinzman; and her son-in-law, Guy Nickelson.
She is survived by her five children, James Randolph and wife, Mary, of Nitro, Carolyn Nickelson of Gay, W.Va., Jessie Randolph and wife, Shaunie, of Cross Lanes, Charles "Chuck" Randolph and wife, Ella, of Nitro, and Betty Bryant and husband, Ernest "Pete" of Cross Lanes; one brother, Lovell Theodore Parsons of Cross Lanes; 12 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and special friend, Brenda Dunaway.
Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Monday, Sept. 20, 2004, at Gatens-Harding Funeral Home with Pastors Robert Lacy and James Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens.
Friends may call 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 19, at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Kanawha Hospice Care, 1143 Dunbar Ave., Dunbar, WV 25064.
