  Notes	Description: Is it possible that Dad Cox is actually David Sutton Cox (1792-1850) who married Hannah Tharp (1797-1873)? I think David was the son of Phillip (1763-1854) and Christiana Steele (1754-1856). I have not been able to find a grave for David Sutton, but I believe he died in Gilmer WV. See Correspondence

  Notes	I did find this marriage that fits in with Philip David's (born 1819) birth, and the fact that he had Hannah living with him in 1850 and Catherine had her with her even longer. Marriage Record Date: 12 Mar 1818 Place: Lewis County, West Virginia David Cox Hannah Elich dau of John Mitchell Her name on this marriage record is hard to decipher. Looks more like Eacih. [widow of John Eslick, who was a brother of Elizabeth, David's first wife] This 1820 fits OK. 1820 Lewis Co, VA David Cox 1m 0-10 [Philip, born 1819] 1m 26-45 1f 0-10 1f 26-45 [Hannah, born abt 1896] But this 1840 doesn't fit so well. Her first Husband was John Eslich and David's First wife was Elizabeth Eslick. The last name Eslick has been spelled multiple ways including Estlick. David and Hannah had married John and Elizabeth who were siblings. They both died in 1818. David then took Hannah for his wife.
