KENNA - Mamie Bell Parsons Skeen, 72, of Kenna died June 8, 1997, in Cedar Ridge Nursing Home after a long illness.
She was a housewife, a Christian, a member of Kenna Grange, and was retired from the Jackson County Board of Education.
Surviving: husband, Herman Skeen; son, Dallas of Kenna; mother, Ethel Parsons of Ripley; sisters, Monnie Landis of Ripley, Mildred Hunt of Columbus, Ohio, Juanita Skeen of Vienna; several nieces and nephews.
Service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Parsons-Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley, with the Rev. Hubert Groves officiating. Burial will be in Jackson County Memory Gardens, Cottageville. Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to American Cancer Society, Attention: Erica Butcher, Parkway Center, 3901 Briscoe Road, Parkersburg, W.Va. 26101.
