    Notes 
    • All the family lived in the Baltimore County area until 1777, when sons Charles and Absalom moved west to the Ohio Valley region of Virginia. Oct 26, 1782, Benjamin & Temperance sold their land in Maryland and shortly after, moved west along with their children and proably his mother. They settled on the hill back of Buffalo Creek. Benjamin built a stockade. Ramsey's Fort was about a mile and a half above, on the Creek.

      Ben's will mentions wife Temperance and children Benjamin of Baltimore Co, Amon, Caleb, Charles, Absalom, William and daughter Sarah Walters, and granddaughters Sarah, d/o Nicholas; and Temperance Talbot
