Cleady David Myers, 74, of Clendenin, went home to be with our Lord Jesus Christ on Sunday, June 2, 2013, at CAMC Memorial Hospital in Charleston following a long illness. David, a lifelong resident of Roane County, was retired from Union Carbide.
David was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Fay (Nichols) Myers; parents, James N. and Clara (Abbott) Myers; brothers, Otis, Dana, Cletis and Clyde Myers; and sister, Ollie Mae Wilkinson. Survivors include his daughters, Joetta Renee Simms and husband, Jeff, of Clendenin and Nanette Myers of Clendenin; grandchildren, Jessica Barnhouse, Brittany Barnhouse and Corey Simms; great-grandchildren, Aliannah and Aleeah Simms; special nephew, Jimmy Myers and wife, Lois, of Clio; and many other nieces and nephews.
David's funeral service will be 5 p.m. Tuesday, June 4, at Matics Funeral Home, Clendenin, with Pastor Junior Holley officiating. Burial will be at Otto Nichols Family Cemetery, Clendenin.
